[cl-typesetting-devel] Typesetting vs pdf for a fancy page

I need to generate a fancy title page, with color blocks, some png images,
etc.  If I have to generate text inside a block of color, does it make more
sense to do this with cl-pdf rather than with cl-typesetting?  I can't tell
what makes more sense here, tt:draw-block with user-drawn-block sections, or
raw cl-pdf move-to, rectangle, fill-path, etc.
