Well, actually I prefer to wait until this bug is fixed<BR>
(I'm writing on the premise that the bug belongs to SBCL<BR>
not the Linux 2.4).<BR>

In the meantime, I installed SBCL 0.8.16 from the testing<BR>
Debian repository which installed and worked fine.<BR>
<BR>
I did not intend to upgrade to the latest SBCL had it not<BR>
produce an error regarding with-output-to-string. The<BR>
