I applied your patch, which was the same as `git revert $COMMIT`, but
since I wanted to record the fix into debian/changelog as well, I
preferred a new "manual" commit.  Maybe I'm still a bit too "gitbie"...

I cannot speak for Peter, but I guess it was a pure mistake.
