Interesting. And dangerous.
But I cannot reproduce it:
$ echo $TERMCAP | wc -c
11448
$ cmucl
CMU Common Lisp CVS 19d 19d-release (19D), running on frost
With core: /usr/lib/cmucl/lisp.core
Dumped on: Sat, 2006-12-30 21:27:55+01:00 on frost
