Hello,
In the last few weeks the time I've been able to spend on debian has
been quite limited. In light of this, but also seen the amount of time
I've already spend in trying to get clisp on sparc to work again for
example. I've decided that unless I get patches from people running or
trying to run sbcl or clisp on architectures that fail to build I will
stop bulding these packages for these architectures.
The fact that most upstream developers do not have the possibility
anymore to support these architectures themselves already is a clear
sign these architectures are heading towards the big gc in the sky.
Frankly I do not have the time, nor in most cases the machines to keep
these architectures alive.
This means that for clisp I will not build anymore for sparc (a sigsegv
during boot). For sbcl that means removing alpha (missing
arch_handle_single_step_trap), mips (impossible missing file
src/assembly/mips/arith.lisp), mipsel (error during testing of
sb-introspect) and sparc (old sbcl crashes on startup).
Volunteers has time to speak up until 31/8.
