It contains various "bits 'n pieces" of code. . Features: * Flow control macros - while, whichever, if-bind, etc. * A simple logging facility - kind-of/sort-of/maybe like log4j. * HTTP/HTML utilities - URL and HTML escaping * Pattern matching - fare-matcher style pattern matcher and "regular" list matcher * Accumulation - collecting and reducing macros * Cps transformer - an ad-hoc, bug ridden implementation of half of call/cc. * Decimal arithmetic - convert floats to exact rationals and vice versa with a given precision; standard rounding functions. * MOP compatibility package - The MOPP package provides the MOP's symbols on various implementations. Currently OpenMCL, CMUCL, SBCL, Lispworks and CLISP are supported. . The recommended packages add extra features: documentation via cl-qbook, test suite with cl-fiveam and add-ons for cl-ppcre. . This is the development version. ===== This is the first of a series of ITPs for Common Lisp software that is necessary as dependency for UCW [1]. The problem is: when i try to connect from emacs (m-x slime-connect), i always get this message in emacs message buffer: error in process filter: if: Wrong number of arguments: nil, 12 and slime does not work. I have tried with several versions of emacs and slime, but I always get this result. So I suppose it is a problem on the swank side. On the web, I found this message http://common-lisp.net/pipermail/slime-devel/2005-December/004427.html reporting the same problem (note it is using sbcl too), but the proposed solution (upgrading emacs) gave no result to me. by the way I tried with aquamacs, NTemacs and others (via a ssh tunnel). I don't believe it's an emacs problem. Looks more a swank+sbcl problem, so I am reporting it here. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-1-386 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages cl-swank depends on: ii common-lisp-controller 4.27sarge This is a Common Lisp source and c -- no debconf information From giov at cidoc.iuav.it Fri Feb 3 11:18:56 2006 From: giov at cidoc.iuav.it (Giovanni Gigante) Date: Fri, 03 Feb 2006 12:18:56 +0100 Subject: [cl-debian] Bug#350942: more info Message-ID: <43E33C20.4050303@cidoc.iuav.it> Locally, using slime (the debian package) from the same machine, it works. It seems that aspectl is now a darcs archive. If you want to follow this I fear we have to scratch and re-grow 'our' cl-aspectl darcs archives on the official darcs archive from Pascal. I'll point you to the updated AspectL package as soon as contextl is out of the NEW queue, because AspectL depends on it. Btw, how did you solve that ContextL only works with c2mop 0.31 while 0.30 is in unstable? I didn't manage to get it working with the current version but only with a newer one. Patching in these lines will make the code work (at least that's what I observe): (setf (slot-value esd 'db-reader) (when (slot-boundp dsd 'db-reader) (delistify-dsd (view-class-slot-db-reader dsd)))) (3) Usage bug(?): Specifying a function as a reader argument is quite awkward. Right now, I am using #. syntax: (content :db-kind :base :column "ser_content" :db-constraints :not-null :accessor msg-content :db-type "text" ; postgres :db-reader #.#'_msg-deserialize-content :db-writer #.#'_msg-serialize-content :initarg :content) That is presumably not what's intended here. Maybe I just did not get the point, but somehow I seem to be unable to properly specify a function in this place. If this really is not possible, it would at least be nice if one could specify a symbol whose symbol-function is the desired de-serialization function. On a side note, the documentation could be a bit clearer on the proper way to type-map a postgresql variable-length "text" field to CLOS. I think the method I am using above should presumably be okay. -- regards, tf at cip.physik.uni-muenchen.de (o_ Thomas Fischbacher - http://www.cip.physik.uni-muenchen.de/~tf //\ (lambda (n) ((lambda (p q r) (p p q r)) (lambda (g x y) V_/_ (if (= x 0) y (g g (- x 1) (* x y)))) n 1)) (Debian GNU) From noreply at henning.makholm.net Sun Feb 12 22:08:07 2006 From: noreply at henning.makholm.net (Debian testing watch) Date: Sun, 12 Feb 2006 15:08:07 -0700 Subject: [cl-debian] arnesi 1:20060122-1 MIGRATED to testing Message-ID: FYI: The status of the arnesi source package in Debian's testing distribution has changed. Now, my big question is how to convert the actual Debian package to darcs-buildpackage. As I'd like to package a new CVS checkout, I'll proceed in the same way, please correct me if I'm wrong. 1) grab the latest CVS. 2) eliminate all the CVS references from the sources. 3) use these sources as the -upstream repository. 4) create the Debian repository. 5) as a template for the debian/ folder, I'll use the old debian/ folder, the one created by the previous maintainer. 6) package the new version Is this ok? I'm sorry for the late, but I needed to have some patches accepted before finishing the packaging. Now it's ok, lintian and linda clean and it's available in the CL-Debian repository [1]. Now that I'm finished with ParenScript (check bug #349607 [1]), I can continue with rfc2388. I found something really interesting: if you initialiaze a CVS source and then `darcs add *`, the CVS folder is considered as boring, so not added. In this way, I could proceed as the following: 1) initialiazed a new darcs repository with the original stumpwm sources present in unstable (stumpwm-upstream) 2) imported the debian version present in unstable (stumpwm) 3) as in the stumpwm-upstream repo the CVS folder is still present (but not recognized by darcs), I made a CVS checkout, followed by a `darcs add` for the new file and a `darcs record` 4) imported the new upstream into the stumpwm repo 5) worked on the stumpwm repo So, now StumpWM is present in the CL-Debian repository [1]. Peter, can you check if all is ok and upload the package? TIA.
