I use it, but you've never seen me. ;)

No matter; I'm fairly certain I can live with fixing up stuff so I
can still use it. I think it's not a great solution to remove a feature
just because people don't want /etc/termcap around, but I guess that
is the way it works.

(I don't know what you mean by "remove terminal hemlock", but
disabling stuff just because there is no /etc/termcap in Debian would,
I think, be a bit unnecessary; it does, after all, check $TERMCAP
before it checks for /etc/termcap. I, personally, would probably just
get a /etc/termcap from somewhere. On the other hand, I can also live
without using packaged CMUCL.)
