I'll bother, but I'll wait to see what else goes wrong too. Thanks. This must
have been a problem all along, since I don't think this changed.

I'd be real interested in knowing how that goes.
BTW yesterday I had some behavior in cells that I thought might be a bug (it
was 3AM so it merits another check, before I report it). I am using, (in my
work, and the cells-gtk tarball) the cells 2 tarball rather than the CVS
head. Would I be better off with the head...or something else?
