What I lost and gained going from Lisp to OCaml<br>

This talk will discuss my experience going from Lisp to OCaml: where<br>
did the types help? where did they get in the way? What kind of<br>
metaprogramming do I miss? What kind of metaprogramming is still<br>
possible? The techniques I will use as examples will be specific to a<br>
mostly-pure-functional programming model for distributed programming<br>
with monotonic data structures. But the ideas at stake are more widely<br>
applicable.<br>
