[asdf-devel] is there a built in way to prevent ASDF from trying to upgrade itself?

You'll have to let us know what triggered it upgrading itself.

Unless you have a pointer to the directory of a new ASDF in your ASDF load configuration (either in ASDF:*CENTRAL-REGISTRY* or using one of Faré's DSL-based methods), ASDF won't know that it can upgrade itself.
