Probably not.  However, I don't see that as a regression, nor has it
prevented ASDF from gaining dominance.  Thus it can probably wait until
after the ASDF 2 release.  No?

I'd also make the same recommendation for asdf-ecl.  We don't yet have
experience generalizing fasl linking to other implementations; that sounds
like a good project for ASDF 2.1.
