[asdf-devel] ASDF improvements from ECL

I'll happily try anything you provide for the last two points. Last
time, you said it's a proof-on-concept and didn't make it sound like you
want people to test it out.

As ASDF uses git now, you can easily create your own branch, so to make
it easier for people to try it.
