Comment:

 According to <https://github.com/cl-plus-ssl/cl-plus-ssl/issues/72>, the
 BIO routines work for no Common Lisp implementation past OpenSSL 1.1.1

 <https://github.com/cl-plus-ssl/cl-plus-ssl/pull/97> contains a fix for
 CL+SSL which seems to work on ABCL, so provisionally closing this ticket
 in the hopes that this is indeed fixed.
