Comment(by trittweiler):

 There's also EXT:*REQUIRE-STACK-FRAME* and jvm::compile-function-call
 looks at that.

 USE-FAST-CALLS may be get rid of, and the LispThread.execute should
 look at *REQUIRE-STACK-FRAME* instead.
