I also think it'd be useful to add something similar to
SB-KERNEL:WITH-ARRAY-DATA. While this can be done portably for
displaced unidimensional arrays, I'm not aware of a way to do it
portably for multidimensional arrays or adjustable arrays without
copying. Is there some policy against implementation-specific code?
