It'll provide hints (i.e. by storing information in the Lisp image) for better readtable support, special indentation support &c. See http://paste.lisp.org/display/52232 for some of the current ideas. The code for named readtables is already there. Yes, I've been pointed to that one before, and I'll probably leverage from it. Thanks for the hint, though! There are also lots of docstring prettifying and documentation creation libraries (just as there are unit testing frameworks.) When time comes, I'll look at them and decide what they're good for. `Editor-hints' is supposed to be the meta-package of all those by being an interface between Lisp image and Lisp environment. -T. -- Diese Nachricht wurde auf Viren und andere gefaerliche Inhalte untersucht und ist - aktuelle Virenscanner vorausgesetzt - sauber. CL-WebObjects is based on components, highly reusable building blocks the make easy and fast the creation of a web application. By using and creating new components, the developer can create robust and consistent web application with the minimal effort. The main aim of CL-WebObjects is `divide et impera', that means that dividing problems into small problems let programmers work on different part of an application, creating ad hoc components for both generic and specific tasks. CL-WebObjects can easily handle all the request cycle, letting you to concentrate only in application business side problems, letting CL-WebObjects automatically manage all the mechanism of the web layer, such as form submission and user interactions. CL-WebObjects comes integrated with the dojotoolkit, giving you the possibility to easily and quickly create full WEB 2.0 eye candy application, with powerful and very user friendly UI. I'd like to have both svn and trac system. But before releasing it, I'd appreciate if you could tell me if there are any legal issue with the name of the project (CL-WebObjects) since WebObjects is an Apple web framework (see http://developer.apple.com/tools/webobjects/). I suppose "id -a" might be sufficient to see what projects you belong to: imattsson at clnet:~$ id -a uid=1212(imattsson) gid=100(users) groups=100(users),1155(gamelib) > It'd also be cool if there was an easy view of who else has commit > rights on my various projects. Again, thanks to the fact that each project has a unix group associated with it, you can do (essentially) the inverse: imattsson at clnet:~$ grep ^gamelib /etc/group gamelib:x:1155:imattsson,www-data //Ingvar (I honestly don't know if there is another way, but these two should reliably work) From gwking at metabang.com Thu Jan 17 15:05:17 2008 From: gwking at metabang.com (Gary King) Date: Thu, 17 Jan 2008 10:05:17 -0500 Subject: [admin] cl.net website Message-ID: <4991CE19-897B-49F2-AB78-B054A78D5A7E@metabang.com> Hi Drew et. al., I've modified the style sheet a bit on cl.net. ASDF- Installablility is requires two things: 1. you create a tarball of your code and a signature 2. you add a page to cliki.net that includes a special bit of download syntax that points to your tarball. It's a free Objective-C bridge for Common Lisp that targets both Mac OS X and GNUstep. Actually, the only thing I currently need is two mailing-lists (-devel and -announce, although -discuss and -bugs would be nice to have, too), as due to the lack of popularity of my project, I can afford hosting its website myself for now. This seems like a bad thing. Should I ask him to generate a different key or send from the email that the key uses or something else? He used matthias at benkard.de for his email. The key uses kirby-2 at web.de. thanks, Begin forwarded message: > From: "Matthias Andreas Benkard" > Date: January 28, 2008 11:43:01 AM EST > To: admin at common-lisp.net > Subject: [admin] Project hosting application: Objective-CL > > To whom it may concern, > > I'd like to humbly request hosting for my project, Objective-CL.
