[CDR-devel] An idea about CDRs

Dear all,

looking forward to ELS and ILC I have an idea that I’d like to put forward.

Up to now, the site has collected either “basic documents” like the MOP one, or proposals that address issues that an individual (e.g., you-know-who :) ) felt interesting or important to write up.

I think that it would be useful for CDR to publish simple “calls” for specifications.  E.g., it would be nice for a “summary” multi-processing interface to be written up.  The same for “networking”.

Therefore I submit that CDR (editors) also published “Calls for specifications”, publicizing them periodically on the usual places, in the hope that somebody either picks up the task.
